Can tourism be more sustainable and how can we – also as tourists – help in the green transition?
Since 2019 Runa Sabroe has been the Director Of Development at Wonderful Copenhagen, the official Tourism Department of the city. As one of the first cities on this globe, Copenhagen has decided to become carbon-neutral and in this green transition, they have made remarkable decisions in tourism. They called it: The end of Tourism. To change tourism in their city they made some bold choices.
For instance, since 2017 they have stopped promoting the city’s main tourist attractions or the best season to visit. How are they leading the global debate on sustainable and innovative ways of tourism is what I talk about with Runa.
